Coaching Types

There are two basic types of coaching:

The essence of coaching does not change for the different types. What does change is the focus of what is worked on and the relative importance of the different core topics discussed.

Organisational Coaching

As you would expect, this is paid for by the employer and not the individual. Usually the approach is to further the individual in the work environment. It can also address some personal beliefs or behaviours that impact the workplace.

Organisational Coaching may include group coaching sessions with the client's team. This enables the entire team to address some of the issues that are affecting the executive, team or organisation as a whole. These sessions are usually done in conjunction with individual 1:1 sessions with some or all of the team members.

We are also Licensed Facilitators of Corporate Coach U's The Coaching Clinic® offering strategic corporate coaching skills for managers, leaders and coaches. This 2 day Coaching Clinic is for professionals - from executives, team leaders, or managers to newly appointed supervisors - who wish to have a fully developed coaching model and platform for skill development.

The Coaching Clinic® program generates rapid development of individuals and teams, and increases leadership potential. It has earned the reputation as a comprehensive training for managers in core coaching skills.

Through The Coaching Clinic®, organisations and individuals can:

  • discover coaching as a powerful model of management and leadership.
  • experience and practise "state-of-the-art" coaching tools.
  • learn the structure and process to integrate a coach-approach to management.
  • position the organisation for rapid growth.
  • apply learning within the workplace immediately.

The Coaching Clinic® effectively trains individuals in the skills necessary for coaching within an organisation. It is a fully developed model, which executives, managers, leaders and coaches can implement immediately in their organisation to:

  • promote innovation and accelerate results.
  • effectively develop and retain valuable organisational members.
  • improve organisational communication and team effectiveness, and
  • deepen commitment to personal, professional and organisational goals.

The Coaching Clinic® challenges participants to raise their standards for their own skills and competencies.

While group sessions are usually performed for organisations, they can also be in a workshop format for members of the public. It is a combination of presentation, workshop, seminar, practical exercises and individual contemplation of your own situation.

Individual Coaching

This is sought out by individuals. All aspects of the individuals life can be worked on. This may include their corporate life, other aspects of their employment, relationship issues, time management, goal getting and WorkStyle™ issues. Our clients are continually surprised at their improvements and the different aspects of their lives that are impacted by their coaching.

Small business owners find that coaching can tackle the general issues of business and of individuals as well as exploring issues that are unique to small business. Our small business clients have found that not only is the coaching invaluable, but the increased awareness of small business specific resources available to them is also of great value.
